Now we are going to finish off the center of our interface.

Go to the top of our pile of layers and create a new layer.

Using the Selection tool, starting at 150x150 pixels draw a circle that fills up the center of our doughnut.

Choose whatever color you want for your circle.

Using the Flood Fill tool - Sunburst Gradient, settings the same as we used on all the other Sunburst Gradients, flood fill your circle.

Do not deselect.

Now go to Image-Effects-Blinds

Using the settings to the left,
place horizontal lines on your circle

Create yet another new layer

Using the Selection tool set to Ellipse,
begin at our 150x150 coordinates
and draw an ellipse approximately
the same size as the one to the left.

Now with our ellipse selected, using the Flood Fill tool - Linear gradient, same options as before, fill our ellipse, this will give it an inset look in the middle of your circle.  Deselect.

Create another new layer (the last one!)

Place an image or text in the center of our ellipse. I used the Webdings font the exclamation point (!), which is a spider, as a vector and stretched it to fit my ellipse.  Convert the layer to Raster (if you used vector text) and we're done!

You can use these techniques to create lots of different things like the logo on my own site at http://www.covingtononline.net/debs.htm

Play with it and have fun!!
